1. Introduction

Protecting your personal data is very important to us. We therefore process your information exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679, “GDPR”) and the applicable German data-protection laws. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you visit our website, why we do so and what rights you have.

3. Data processing when visiting our website

3.1 Server log files

When you access our site, our hosting provider automatically stores:

• IP address,
• date & time of request,
• pages visited / files accessed,
• referrer URL,
• browser type and version,
• operating system.

Processing is technically necessary to display the website and to ensure stability and security (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). Log files are deleted after 7 days unless a security incident requires longer retention.

3.2 Cookies

We do not set any cookies or similar tracking technologies on escapr.de.
If at a later point technically necessary cookies should be required (e.g. to keep a login session), we will update this Policy and, where legally required, request your consent in advance.

4. Newsletter via Rapidmail

We use rapidmail to create and send our e-mail newsletter. rapidmail is operated by Positive Group Deutschland GmbH, Wentzingerstraße 21, 79106 Freiburg i. Br., Germany, and stores all data on servers located exclusively in Germany. rapidmail guarantees full GDPR compliance and concludes data-processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with its customers.

4.1 What data do we process?

When you subscribe, we collect:

• e-mail address (mandatory),
• optional information you enter (e.g. name),
• date, time and IP address at subscription (double-opt-in proof).

4.2 Purpose & legal basis

Data are processed solely for sending the newsletter and documenting your consent (Art. 6 (1) a & c GDPR).

4.3 Cancellation

You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by e-mail to martin.bock@escapr.de. Your data will then be deleted or blocked from further use unless statutory retention duties require otherwise.

4.4 Data processing agreement

A data-processing agreement has been concluded with rapidmail. rapidmail processes subscriber data only on our instructions and does not use it for its own purposes.

4.5 Cookies / tracking pixels

Embedding the rapidmail subscription form does not place cookies on escapr.de. Newsletter e-mails themselves may contain an anonymised tracking pixel to compile aggregate open-rate statistics. You can block image loading in your e-mail client to prevent this.

5. Contact by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us, we store the information you supply (e-mail address, content of the message and any further details) in order to reply to your request (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR or, where applicable, Art. 6 (1) b GDPR). We delete these data when the conversation ends and no legal retention obligations exist.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right, at any time:

• to obtain confirmation of whether we process personal data about you and, if so, to receive a copy (Art. 15 GDPR);
• to have incorrect data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR);
• to have data erased (“right to be forgotten”, Art. 17 GDPR);
• to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
• to receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20 GDPR);
• to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR);
• to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7 (3) GDPR);
• to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Germany this is usually the data-protection authority of the federal state where you reside or where our business is established.

7. Data security

We use state-of-the-art technical and organisational security measures (TLS encryption, access controls, regular backups, etc.) to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorised access.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law or in our data-processing practices. The current version is always available at escapr.de/privacy. If substantial changes occur, we will inform you in advance.
